Dr. Juliane Holt-Lunstad on the Importance Social Connection Has on Your Health and Well-Being and How to Best Avoid the Pitfalls of Loneliness and Social Isolation

 

Dr. Holt-Lunstad is a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Brigham Young University, where she directs the Social Connections Lab. She is a leading expert on the impact of social connection on health, with groundbreaking research showing that social isolation and loneliness are major risk factors for early mortality. 

Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad was the lead scientific editor for the 2023 Surgeon General Advisory and National Strategy on Loneliness and is dedicated to translating research into actionable strategies to help deliver social connection and engagement with respective health benefits.
