About Victor Imbimbo

Victor Imbimbo is owner and CEO of Caring Today, LLC, a company dedicated to supporting the needs of the family caregiver community. Complementing this work, Victor also writes a blog called Caring for the Caregiver and his Bounce Back podcast hosts expert guests addressing the most important issues in the lives of family caregivers.

After receiving two degrees from Purdue University—a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration—Victor began his career in 1976 at the General Mills Corporation, working in brand management.

In 1978, he joined Miller Brewing Company’s marketing department. During his seven-year tenure, he rose through the ranks and directed all new product initiatives, including the introduction of the “cold-filtered” beer segment that generated nearly $1 billion in revenue.

Victor founded The Hadley Group, a communications company specializing in “response” and “transactional” marketing. Hadley clients included Coca-Cola, Cuisinart, MasterCard, Miller Brewing Company, and NIKE. In ‘91, Advertising Age Magazine named Hadley Agency of the Year.

In 1994, Victor sold Hadley to Havas Worldwide. He then went on to establish Bedrock Inc., a consulting firm specializing in business-to-business digital communications solutions. Bedrock developed the first web-based sales-force-assistance system in the U.S. and an online clinical trial patient recruitment product helping pharmaceutical companies facilitate their study recruitment needs by targeting, educating, screening, and enlisting prospective participants online.

From there, Victor moved on to TBWA Worldwide, a unit of Omnicom Group, the world's largest advertising and marketing holding company. While at the company, he became Executive Vice President at TBWA/ChiatDay and President for North America of TBWA/World Health, directing consumer marketing communications programs for healthcare companies, primarily within the pharmaceutical industry, and developing first-hand experience studying pivotal daily issues involving family caregivers caring for family members dealing with cardiovascular, diabetes-related, and central nervous system health conditions.

In 2006, Victor joined Caring Today, LLC, the publisher of Caring Today Magazine, focused on researching and exploring the most pressing daily needs of family caregivers and resource solutions. Victor took over the Caring Today's President/CEO position in 2008 and purchased the company in 2010. Caring Today Magazine was distributed free to family caregivers through its 28,000 physician office network and each issue had readership of nearly 2 million family caregivers, making it the #1 magazine in the country dedicated to supporting the family caregiver community. In an effort to provide family caregivers with quicker access to information, in 2015 the print magazine was transitioned online as caringtoday.com.

The combination of Victor’s educational background, extensive work building effective healthcare marketing and communications programs, and ongoing curiosity in human behavior, became the foundation for his interest in and devotion to supporting the health and well-being of family caregivers—a community that is nearly 53 million strong.

On any given day nearly 20% of the adult U.S. population is dealing with family caregiving issues. You are not alone!
